F2 Logistics dismantles Petron
The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers pounded the Petron Blaze Spikers, 25-20, 24-26, 20-25, 25-19, 15-4, to force a do-or-die match in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix finals at the Arena in San Juan Thursday.
The Cargo Movers continued to thrive in the fifth frame while the Blaze Spikers fell apart completely to force a deciding game three, 15-4.
Petron had the championship in sight early in the fourth set after staging a 9-0 run, however, F2’s import Kennedy Bryan led the way for the Cargo Movers to draw a 22-18 lead and force a decider.
F2 had taken control latter in the third salvo, 21-18, before spurting a 4-1 run capped by a drop ball from Kim Dy.
An error from F2 and a back row attack from Petron’s import Hillary Hurley broke a 24-all tie in the second canto, 26-24.
Back-to-back blocks from Aby Maraño and Kim Dy sealed the first set for the Cargo Movers, 25-20.
Maria Perez chipped in 25 markers while Bryan added 15 points for the Cargo Movers.
Imports Lindsay Stalzer and Hillary Hurley led Petron with 24 and 16 points apiece.
The do-or-die match will be on Dec. 16., 7 p.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
