Manila exorcist: Prayer best weapon vs. evil
Prayer and guidance from the Blessed Mother are the best weapons to defeat the “evil one” in a spiritual battle, Archdiocese of Manila exorcist told Thomasians.
“As we pray, ask the Blessed Mother to be with us. We pray to seal [our] place from any manner of contamination from the evil one,” Fr. Winston F. Cabading, O.P. said in a symposium on spiritual welfare at the UST Miguel de Benavides Library’s conference hall on Oct. 27.

Cabading said prayer and ways of God are the strongest when the evil tried to ruin human lives.
“Do not too much be entangled with the devil. Remember you are all destined for heaven and that is what you should aspire for. Even though the devil comes to destroy, God is always able to save those who come to him," he said.
Cabading said any unbelievable occurrence that is unrelated to God’s power is nothing but a “deception and a demonic trickery.”
“The best deceiver is the one whom you cannot detect to be a deceiver. The devil himself is the author of confusion and lies,” he said.
Guardian angels, on the other hand, protect humans and secure their path to heaven, said Cabading.
“[The guardian angels] see to it that God’s plan for you, which is to go to heaven, happens. [T]hey protect your body and they protect your soul to see to it that you will enter God’s kingdom," he said.
"But they cannot do it if you do not want to. If you do not talk to them, they cannot do anything,” Cabading added.
The event titled “PAX-Usapan: On Angels, Demons, and Spiritual Welfare” was organized by the University’s oldest religious organization, UST Pax Romana-Faculty of Arts and Letters Unit. Ma. Agatha Nicole T. Fabricante and Christine C. Fabro with reports from Joselle Czarina S. Dela Cruz
