Be consistent in doing God’s ways, Cardinal Tagle tells Christians

Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle on Oct. 24 urged the Christian community to consistently act according to God’s ways and follow Jesus Christ’s example of evangelization.

"[The] consistency of doing the ways of God [is what] all people need to do better. ['Y]ung iba seasonal, minsan mapagmahal, maya-maya wala nang pakialam," Tagle said in his homily at the Eucharistic celebration of the 13th general assembly of Pondo ng Pinoy (PnP) at Pope Pius XII Catholic Center in Paco, Manila.

Tagle said Jesus Christ's evangelization should always be emulated by Christians.

[T]he consistency is what Jesus is asking for us, and in the evangelization that he left for us," he said.

"[H]e is not absent. His will [and] His desire is in here and I can feel it," Tagle added.

Actions in spreading the grace of God are needed to withstand the disobedience of Christians, said Tagle.

Tagle cited PnP's collection of coins as an example of spreading God's grace and signifying goodness.

"So, Pondo of Pinoy tries to develop a culture na hindi [natin] nagawa pero nagawa sa atin ni Hesus [na] sana [ay] maipon 'yan, madagdagan 'yan [...] at mas mabilis kumalat kaysa sa pagkalat ng masama," he said.

The Pondo ng Pinoy Community Foundation, Inc. was a non-profit organization registered under Securities and Exchange Commission and was administered by the Board of Trustees composed of distinguished lay leaders, bishops, priests and religious, with the Roman Catholic Church as its initiator, promoter and steward.

PnP was established by the former Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales on June 11-12, 2004 to educate the Filipino people towards a new mindset, a new way of becoming and a new way of living. Christine C. Fabro with reports from Joselle Czarina S. Dela Cruz
