Lady Falcons drag Lady Maroons
The Adamson University (AdU) Lady Falcons swept the University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Maroons in a spectacular 22-point lead, 82-60, in the second round of the UAAP Season 80 women's basketball tournament on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
The Lady Falcons overpowered UP in all cantos, extending their nine-point lead in the first quarter to a total of 22 points by the last period, ending the match for the Lady Maroons.
AdU capitalized UP's weak offenses and bolted the Lady Maroons with three-point blitzes throughout the game.
Jamie Alcoy powered the Lady Falcons with game-high 17 points while Nathalia Prado added a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

UP's Pat Rodas, Lou Ordoveza, Iriss Isip, and Marian Domingo all contributed 10 points each.
Adamson will next face defending champions National University Lady Bulldogs on Saturday, October 21, while UP hopes to win against the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws on the same day.
