Tamaraws trounce Bulldogs
THE FAR Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws trumped the National University (NU) Bulldogs, 90-83, in the UAAP Season 80 men’s basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs started weak in the first half and came back fighting during the second to little avail, handing the game to the Tamaraws.
Arvin Tolentino secured a win for FEU with 23 points, while NU captain ball Jjay Alejandro led the Bulldogs with 23 points and six rebounds.
Tamaraws advanced their standing to fourth place with a 3-2 card, while the Bulldogs dropped to sixth with a 2-3 record.
The NU Bulldogs will next face the undefeated Ateneo Blue Eagles on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, while the FEU Tamaraws will go up against the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons on Sunday at the same venue. M.D.D.G. Baleros
