Eagles preserve streak, soar over winless Warriors
THE ATENEO De Manila University Blue Eagles notched its fourth win streak after a lopsided win, 83-65, against the winless University of the East Red Warriors Sept. 24 at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
Thirdy Ravena, though emerged late in the fourth quarter, scored game-winning 21 points, along with a 20-foot three point dagger in the last three and a half minutes to increase their lead to 15—sealing the game for the Blue Eagles.
The Eagles now hold an unblemished record of 4-0, taking the overall lead in the UAAP Season 80 men’s basketball tournament.
Alvin Pasaol led the Red Warriors with game-high 22 points, but was not enough to stop the Eagles’ three-point barrage in the last quarter.
Ateneo’s next opponent will be the UST Growling Tigers on Wednesday, at 4.P.M at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, while the Red Warriors will face the Adamson University Soaring Falcons on Oct. 1, at the same time and venue.
