Soaring Falcons upset Growling Tigers

THE ADAMSON Soaring Falcons conquered the UST Growling Tigers, 88-81, in the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sept. 16.

After being dominated by the Ateneo Blue Eagles during its season opening, 65-85, the Adamson Soaring Falcons made a comeback in the game against the Growling Tigers forcing a total of 22 and 41 turn overs, respectively.

Robbie Manalang led Adamson with 19 points, five assists, and two steals.

Growling Tiger Jeepy Faundo delivered a double-double performance, 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Fil-American Tyrus Hill of Adamson provided viewers the highlight of the game, when he made a massive dunk over Jeepy Faundo during the third quarter.

The Adamson Soaring Falcons will next face the De La Salle Green Archers on Sept. 20, Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena, 4 p.m. Miguel Diego D.G. Baleros
